Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty or nose surgery is one of the most skilled surgeries and also because it is in the middle of your face it is absolutely vital that the surgery has a natural result.

Dr. Nazim Cerkes lectures all over the world on his procedures and has become world renown in writing the rules for rhinoplasty Ð Nose surgery is a balancing act which can easily result in a very freaky finished result especially for men, who still need to have a masculine outcome.

Pre Surgery

Dr. Cerkes will assess the type of nose surgery you require and where possible will give a computer enhanced result, which will give an indication of what your nose will look like. Interestingly it is not always Dr excess bone that is the problem , sometimes the frontal view is out of synch and adding cartilage will result in a more pleasing result.

4 Hours Surgery Time

Surgery Time

Nose surgery is a very complicated surgery for the surgeon but surprisingly painless for the patient. Most surgeries take between 2 and 4 hours. Nazim Cerkes operates using an "open" technique, which leaves virtually no scar and is much more specific than the old closed technique furthermore, airway blockages and nasal cavity deformity can also be corrected resulting in easier breathing.

Post Surgery

A plastic caste is moulded during surgery and placed over the nose, for the comfort of the patient there is no internal packaging in the nose. It is virtually an outpatient procedure not normally requiring an overnight stay. Bruising is usually apparent underneath the eyes , sometimes black eyes and yellowness occurs. The caste is removed on the 5th day. Patients usually stay in Turkey for 6 days or so , but if time is short then it perfectly safe to travel home wearing the caste and either have it removed by our nursing team of can easily be soaked off and removed by yourself. We normally prefer you to stay for 24 hours post surgery. The nose is obviously quite fragile initially and contact sport should be avoided for as long as possible to give the bones time to anchor themselves back. In particular if a large hump is removed then it may be several months for the complete result to be achieved, but generally 80% result will be achieved within 2 weeks, it may appear a little puffy initially but this soon subsides.
